Salma Hayek Friday was granted a three-year extension of a restraining order directing two women who have allegedly pretended to be the “Frida” star to stay away from the actress, her husband and their daughter.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson issued the order against Liana Geordie Philippon and Odette Bodagh, saying they must remain at least 100 yards from Hayek, her husband, 53-year-old Francois-Henri Pinault, and their daughter, 7-year-old Valentina.
Bodagh was present in court. She wept and apologized for her actions concerning Hayek.
“I was just being stupid,” Bodagh said.
Goodson said Bodagh’s explanation was unacceptable.
“Being stupid sometimes has its consequences,” Goodson said.
The judge also added that stalking someone “is not something you can take likely.”
The judge told Bodagh she had had no reason to believe she could be friends with “a movie star of (Hayek’s) caliber.”
Goodson said she was skeptical of Bodagh’s claims she did not mean to bother Hayek or her family.
“You were not quite as uninvolved as you’d like me to believe,” Goodson said.
Attached to the 48-year-old Hayek’s court papers are copies of numerous text messages in which the two women allegedly impersonated Hayek while communicating with others.
“In one communication, while posing as Hayek, Philippon made a veiled threat regarding kidnapping and ransoming Hayek’s minor child,” according to Hayek’s attorneys’ court papers.
Philippon has a documented history of mental health issues and also has impersonated actress Angie Harmon, according to Hayek’s attorneys’ court papers.
Both Philippon and Bodagh demonstrated “mental instability” during questioning by Los Angeles police investigators, according to Hayek’s attorneys’ court papers.
