A family of Dodgers fans who allege they were assaulted and battered without provocation by security guards in the Dodger Stadium stands during a 2021 game has reached a settlement with the National League team.

An attorney for Adam Luna Villa and two relatives filed court papers on Monday with Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Kerry Bensinger notifying the judge of an “unconditional” resolution of the case, but no terms were divulged. Bensinger vacated the scheduled June 9 nonjury trial.

According to the suit, Villa and his wife, Monica Jasmine Villa, and their minor daughter went to Dodger Stadium on Oct. 3, 2021, to see the home team play the Milwaukee Brewers. All three were “passionate and supportive baseball fans,” the suit states.

According to the suit, which was brought in April 2022 and does not provide further details, Luna, his wife and child were all attacked by private security guards for no reason while off-duty Los Angeles police officers who were part of the security team stood by.

In their court papers, defense attorneys denied the plaintiffs’ allegations that included civil rights violations, assault, battery and false arrest.
