Police Monday had a lot of questions for the family of a lost little boy found wandering barefoot and alone on the streets of Fullerton at 2:30 in the morning.
After law enforcement officers made a public appeal for help in identifying the child who appears to be between 2 and 3 years old, they were able to figure out who he is.
They were providing few details, however, about the family or how the child managed to be walking at that early hour Sunday by himself.
They would not say if the child had been reunited with his family.
The boy was found at the intersection of South Basque and West Southgate avenues, according to Fullerton police Sgt. Kathryn Hamel.
The tot appeared to be of Middle Eastern or Indian descent.
He is about 3 feet tall and weighs about 35 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a white striped T-shirt, silver-colored sweatpants and no shoes, Hamel said.
Anyone with information on this child was asked to call Fullerton police at (714) 738-6716.
