A blaze that erupted Tuesday in Good Hope damaged two single-wide trailers and an outbuilding, displacing a family of four.
The non-injury fire was reported about 3:55 p.m. in the area of Mountain Avenue and Sophie Street, just west of Perris, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Multiple engine crews were sent to the location, where witnesses reported hearing explosions, but the source of the detonations could not immediately be determined.
Crews encountered flames extending from the trailers to the outbuilding. Two adults and their children escaped unharmed, according to the fire department.
Utility lines were down, and firefighters took extra precautions as they encircled the blaze, which was completely contained by 4:30 p.m.
American Red Cross personnel were contacted to help the victims finding temporary lodgings.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
