A family was displaced but not injured Saturday when their Riverside home caught fire.
It was reported at 3:35 p.m. in the 6000 block of Central Avenue, said Riverside Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Wilson.
“The first arriving units reported smoke showing from a front window,” Wilson said. “The crews then deployed multiple hand lines and initiated an aggressive interior attack on the fire with a simultaneous primary search of any victims.”
The fire was out at 3:55 p.m. and firefighters were able to keep the flame damage inside the room of origin and part of the exterior, he said. There was smoke damage throughout the house.
The cause was unintentional, Wilson said. No firefighters were injured.
