Police said Sunday that a 64-year-old man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease who went missing in Hemet has been found.
James Kaleihele Brown had last been seen at a family gathering at about 10 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of West Fruitvale Avenue, according to the Hemet Police Department.
His family believed Brown may have walked away from the home where the gathering was taking place, police said.
A Riverside County sheriff’s bloodhound was assisting in the search followed the trail down the street but lost the scent a few blocks west.
Brown was found, officials said Sunday, but no further details were released.
The California Highway Patrol canceled a Silver Alert that was issued for Brown.
