Top 10 fun weekend adventures: The Grinch, Mariah Carey, Snow Days!

Happy Holidays! We know you’re looking forward to a weekend of great quality time with your family. Here is a list of our top 10 fun weekend adventures for you to check out with your loved ones. Enjoy!

Friday, Dec. 23

Club 90s Mariah Carey Night (Nightlife): Come celebrate one of the biggest selling artist of the 90s and the queen of Christmas nusic. Dance and sing along to a massive dose of Mariah with the best 90s r+b, pop, dance, and more. There will also be freebies of her new MAC products. Tickets are $5 at the door if you arrive before 10:30 p.m. The party starts at 10 p.m. at Los Globos, 3040 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles.

Johnny Cash (music): Come see Cash’d Out perform their tribute to the legend Johnny Cash. The show starts at 7 p.m. at the Swap Meet, 13963 Alondra Blvd., Santa Fe Springs.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (film): Watch the holiday favorite “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” as a part of the Family Movie Night series. Don’t forget to bring bring blankets, chairs and snacks. There will be free popcorn. The screening starts at 5 p.m. at 412 E. Fourth St.

Saturday, Dec. 24

Family Snow Day (family): Although you most likely won’t be able to enjoy a real snow storm here in SoCal, you can still attend this Snow Day event and have the chance to play in some snow. There will be a skating area, a meet-n-greet with Frosty the Snowman, and hot cocoa. Child admission is $12, adults are free to play. The event starts at 1 p.m. at Ice Station, 27745 Smyth Drive, Valencia.

A Christmas Story (film): Come watch the holiday classic “A Christmas Story,” at the New Beverly Cinema. You can get your tickets here for $8. The event starts at 11:55 p.m. at 7165 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles.

Christmas On The Streets (volunteer): Spread some holiday cheer and spend your morning delivering hot food and needed items to people in need.  You’ll be serving tamales, soup and hot chocolate. You can also bring blankets, gloves, scarfs, sweaters or other items you’d like to hand out. Volunteers will meet at 8 a.m. at  ExtraSpace Storage, 6033 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles.

Live Nativity (family): Bring your whole family out to interact with live camels and the same breed of sheep that were in first century Palestine. The event starts at 2 p.m. at Desert Vineyard Church, 1011 E. Avenue I, Lancaster.

Sanctuary Los Angeles Christmas (religious): Attend a special one hour service for the whole family at 11 a.m. on Christmas morning in the heart of Downtown LA’s Arts District. 820 S. Santa Fe Ave., Los Angeles.

A Very Buygore Christmas – Toy Drive (nightlife/ volunteer): Tis the season to give back! Join us for a Christmas charity toy drive featuring Borgore and Friends! Free entry with RSVP and 1 Toy donation. The event starts at 10 p.m. at Sound Nightclub, 1642 N. Las Palmas Ave, Los Angeles.

Smithsmas (nightlife): Come to the first annual “Smithsmas,” with Rosie Bojangles and Bob Altamirano of Sing Your Life Sundaze and guest Rave Dungeon. The event starts at 9 p.m. at The LASH, 117 Winston St, Los Angeles.
