Happy Weekend and the beginning of October! Here are the top 10 fun weekend adventures in LA for Sept. 30- Oct. 2. Enjoy!

Friday, Sept. 30

Young Professionals Summit (workshop): The Hispanas Organized for Political Equality will host a summit for young professionals focused on networking skills, personal branding, civic engagement and resume writing. Get your tickets here for $30. The summit will begin at 9 a.m. at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, 1717 S Disneyland Drive, Anaheim.

Wine and Cake Pairing (tasting): Who doesn’t love wine and cake? Pastry chef Natalie Flores will prepare four mini cakes to pair with wines. The event starts at 7 p.m. and is first come first serve until the cakes run out. Public Beer Wine Shop, 121 W. 4th St., Long Beach.

Singing Star (family): Children will have a sing-off for a chance to win the Most Buzz award.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the YMCA’s Learn, Grow, Thrive program. Sign up to participate here for $20. The event starts at 6 p.m. at The Castaway Restaurant, 1250 E. Harvard Road, Burbank.

Dance Fusion (dance): Join The History of Black Dance in America for dance lessons on West Coast Swing, Hustle, Urban Ballroom and Salsa. You can learn more about the lessons and purchase tickets for $20 here. Dancing starts at 7 p.m. at Downtown Dance & Movement, 1144 S. Hope St., Los Angeles.

Saturday, Oct. 1

Taste of Italy (tasting): Check out the 8th Annual Taste of Italy, benefiting the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles. There will be numerous Italian restaurants, authentic Italian products and Italian wines along with live performances. Get your tickets here for $60. The event will start at 5 p.m. at Pico House, 424 N. Main St., Los Angeles.

Mad Decent Block Party (concert): The 2016 line up includes Diplo, Henrik the Artist, Kesha, Neo Fresco and Ookay. Click here for more information or to buy your tickets for $56. The music starts at 1 p.m. at Los Angeles Center Studios, 1201 W. 5th St., Los Angeles.

Crazy Cat Ladies (museum): The Animal Museum will host a grand opening of its new home with an exhibit all about cats.  The event will include cocktails, plant-based hors d’oeuvres, music and animal lovers. Get your tickets here for $45. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. at the museum, 421 Colyton St., Los Angeles.

Sunday, Oct. 2

Tiki Day (family): Disneyland will host their 5th Annual Tiki Day. Dress up in your best Hawaiian clothes and enjoy a day in the park. Get your tickets here for $97. The park opens up at 8 a.m., 1313 Disneyland Drive, Anaheim.

Make Your Mark in the Park (art): Ryman Arts students will lead a free day of drawing for every skill level. The 11 a.m. event is a part of the Big Draw LA. Grand Park, 200 N. Grand Ave., Los Angeles.

Swing Dance (performance): Come learn how to swing dance during this free course lead by DJ Fons. Space is limited so RSVP here. The dancing starts at 3:30 p.m. at Tongva Park, 1615 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica.
